Social media- panacea for disability exclusion

Despite the manifold mobility and sensory limitations that persons with disabilities face in accessing social media, findings by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) Accessibility Report 2012, reveal that social media has the greatest impact in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities (PWDs) in social, economic, political and cultural processes, including life-long learning. In Zimbabwe, however, social media service providers prevaricate in using social media for disability social inclusion, and people with disabilities continue to sing the blues as the disability continues to fall under the radar of development.
